Online Auction
Auction Policy
General Terms and Conditions:
- Huron Tractor will not participate in any form in the bidding process. If the reserve bid is exceeded the unit will be sold.
- Upon the completion of an Auction sale, all bidding history will be available upon request to any active bidder on that item.
- All Auction items are described in the unit description to the best ability of Huron Tractor. Each unit Auctioned will have listed a market price which is estimated to be the fair market value of the unit in Canadian dollars.
- An item placed in the Auction is fully committed to the Auction until the closing date. Huron Tractor will not remove an item until the Auction is closed or the high bid equals market price.
- Each item has its own closing date and that closing date will not change during the period the Auction is open unless a bid is recieved that equals the market price. The first bid that equals market price will end the auction immediately.
- All items are subject to a reserve. This reserve is not published and if the highest bid does not meet or exceed the reserve the unit will be considered "No Sale".
- The current bid price is the highest bid posted.
- The current bid field will appear in pink below 75% of reserve, in yellow at 75-100% of reserve and green once the reserve bid is surpassed.
- All units will be guaranteed to be free of liens and emcumberances.
- All units are in AS IS condition without warranty unless individually described on the unit.
- All successful sales (highest bid, exceeding reserve, after closing) must be paid in full within 5 business days,upon delivery or removal from Huron Tractor premises, which ever comes first.
- Transportation, storage and insurance are the responsibilty of the purchaser after the auction is completed.
- All units must be claimed and removed from Huron Tractor within 10 Days of payment.
- Cash, check, certified check, or an approved finance note will constitute payment. Payment must be made before the purchaser obtains possession.
Bidding Process:
- For the purposes of this Auction, the time stamp placed on all bids by the webserver will be considered as the official time. The bid times of the last 5 high bids can be viewed in the details of each item.
- Each online bidder must complete the bidder registration form, or place a bid by visiting a Huron Tractor location.
- After the registration is processed, internet Bidders will receive a confirming email with the username (email address) and a private password.
- A registered bidder is free to bid on all pieces and can view all previously placed bids on current Auction items, even bids that have been surpassed.
- All bids will be accepted as long as they are higher than the current bid. High Bids lower than reserve will be posted.
- Huron Tractor reserves the right to accept a high bid lower than reserve by lowering the inital reserve. Bidders are encouraged to watch the Auction daily especially during the final days of the Auction.
- There is no minimum bid increment.
- Each item has an Auction Close date associated with it. The Auction will be closed at 2:00 pm (14:00) Eastern TIme of the closing date of each item.
- The Auction will commence an Bid Extension Period if the high bid is less than 5 minutes old as of noon on the closing date. Only bidders that have bid on the item will be eligible to bid during the extension period. No first time bids on any specific item will be accepted past 13:59 (1:59pm) Eastern time of the closing date.
- If the high bid is not replaced by another higher bid for a period of 5 minutes the item will be declared sold to the high bidder.
- Any item in the Auction will be declared sold to the first bidder that bids the market price as displayed on the website regardless of the close date of the Auction.
- After the Auction closes on an item, and a bid has been placed over the reserve amount, the high Bidder will be notified by close of business on the next business day.
This policy is subject to change with notice. Any change in policy will not apply to open Auction items. The policy will only be changed between Auctions.
