Job Description

As the Credit Manager you will hold an important role in managing Huron Tractor’s credit processes. While managing the credit processes your duties will encompass; credit evaluation, and risk management, collections and dispute resolution, relationship management, compliance and reporting, as well as leading and supervising the accounts payable, and accounts receivable team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information.
  • Monitor and review customer credit accounts regularly to identify potential risks or opportunities for credit limit adjustments.
  • Develop and implement credit risk management strategies and policies.
  • Identify and analyze trends and patterns related to credit risk and provide recommendations for mitigating potential risks.
  • Communicate with customers to resolve payment issues, negotiate payment plans, and resolve disputes.
  • Manage the end-to-end process of invoice processing, including reviewing, coding, and verifying invoices for accuracy and completeness.
  • Lead and supervise a team of accounts payable, accounts receivable and administrative professionals.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a credit manager or in a similar credit management role.
  • Strong knowledge of credit risk assessment, financial analysis, and credit evaluation techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
